Youth Ministry

LaSalle Youth Ministry offers opportunities for young people to experience the fullness of life through innovative experiences of faith, service and community. It aims to empower students to utilise their gifts.
Lasallian Youth Ministry organises and conducts a range of programs in schools such as the Lasallian Youth Leaders model, leadership seminars, retreats and reflection days. Young adults working in Lasallian Youth Ministry organise youth camps, youth gatherings and social justice awareness days as well as opportunities to meet and share their experiences with other Lasallians. They also provide volunteer experiences for young people through the Share the Mission (Gap Year Program), Balgo Hills Summer Camp and the Papua New Guinea Youth Ministry Program.
At LaSalle, Bankstown, Mr Dimitrios (Jimmy) Kazanis works part time as the Lasallian Youth Minister, working in collaboration with staff to assist in the Lasallian and faith development of students through facilitation of retreats and class visits to various year levels, involvement in College masses and student leadership development.
"It is a great privilege to be given the role of Youth Minister at LaSalle Catholic College for 2013 and I am very excited with the challenges and experiences that will arise with undertaking this important role. Being a former student of the College makes me feel very comfortable and especially motivated to make a positive impact as Youth Minister upon such a great College Community. This year is a year of action and I am therefore excited to help contribute to the life of the College community to the best of my ability." Dimitrios Kazanis
